Embodied Resistance: Can we work with the menstrual cycle for social change? with Lottie Randomly
March 8th
3pm-4:30pm GMT / 8pm-9:30pm EST
‘What we practice at the small scale, sets the pattern for the whole system.’
Emergent Strategy: Shaping Change, Changing Worlds, adrienne maree brown.
We are living through wild and urgent times which call for our commitment to change on both a personal and collective level. What would happen if we turned the lens of cycle awareness on the world, as well as ourselves?
In this workshop Lottie will support us to gently inquire and experiment with ideas around how our cycle awareness practice could be reimagined as a tool for social change. We will explore a new cyclical terrain together, reimagine common menstrual symptoms beyond capitalist and colonial narratives and then spend some time dreaming into the ways we might do this work of resistance together.
The session will feature a few invitations to quietly reflect and jot things down along the way, with moments to share and discuss our findings as a group and then a Q&A at the end for any questions and/or discussion that wants to emerge.
This session is designed for folks who have some cycle charting experience.
To ensure this share is accessible to folks with lower incomes, bursaries and discounts are available upon request. Please reach out to us directly.
This class will be held online via Zoom. A link will be sent to participants within 72 hours of the class date.
